Huge news!

Senator Tommy Tuberville has just suggested that he plans to defy Mitch McConnell’s orders to not contest the election and object Biden’s Electoral College “win”.

Tuberville who was the former football coach of Auburn University just defeated Democrat Doug Jones and will take office on January 3rd.

This is just in time for Tuberville to reject Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 election when Lawmakers meet on January 6th.

After Tuberville’s statements, Trump took to Twitter and was quoted saying “Tommy will be more popular than ever before – a hero!’.

Rep. Mo Brooks from Alabama has already come out saying he will object Biden’s “victory”.

With both Brooks and Tuberville reject Biden as the winner this would lead to a vote in each house of Congress on a motion to overturn the election results.

USA Today covered the story and dropped these details:

As Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tries to tamp down efforts in the Senate to reject President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory, some Republican senators are suggesting they might buck his warning.

The discord comes weeks before a joint session of Congress convenes Jan. 6 to count votes cast by the Electoral College, which elected Biden over President Donald Trump by a 306-232 vote margin Monday. Some House Republicans have said they intend to object to Biden’s slate of electors in some states.

“You’ll see what’s coming,” Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., said this week. “You’ve been reading about in the House. We’re going to have to do it in the Senate.”

OANN chipped in with these details:

Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) may be joining Republican efforts to challenge the electoral college vote count on January 6.

According to reports on Thursday, Tuberville is likely to join Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) in this effort to push against votes for Joe Biden. When both chambers of Congress meet, Brooks indicated he plans to reject the electoral college vote submissions from states with flawed election systems.

It looks like the state of Alabam hasn’t turned its back on Trump!
