Not slow down testing but control the testing, there were cases that the testing has been falsified to inflate the number of infections and even death.
A Vietnamese family reported that they registered for testing but left the test site before getting tested due to long waiting time, nevertheless, they got notice later that they were Covid-19 positive without testing.
Many deaths, be it car accidents or other illnesses had been counted as Covid-19 deaths.
The reason for cheating / inflating the # can be greed or political, your pick!
