China fears a Biden administration much more than a Trump administration.
Trump talked a lot, was aggressive, and had started a trade war.
Nevertheless, Donald Trump's isolationist strategy favored China's ambitions, and China was able to continue to expand its influence in the world for 4 years.
Joe Biden wants to return to multilateralism and not leave the field open for China on the international scene. To harm China, Joe Biden wants to cooperate with the historical allies of the United States.
He also wants to do it within the world organizations.
Joe Biden's strategy is more respectful and intelligent. It will probably bring more results than this trade war led by Donald Trump who never rebalanced the trade balance as he hoped.
Rather, this trade war was a demagogic action aimed at increasing his popularity in the short term.
In the long term, the foreign policy that Joe Biden will conduct will be much more relevant and effective for the United States.
In any case, China is under no illusions for the simple reason that it knows that confrontation with the United States is now inevitable since both countries want the same thing: to be the world's first superpower.
