In California we don't have the ballot scanners anymore . You have to drop your ballots in a ballot drop box even at the Voting Centers. At the voting centers, you can mark your votes in a machine ( like an Ipad) and then it will print your marked ballot , you still have to drop that marked ballot to the ballot drop box . The voting officers will scan these ballots later at somewhere we don't know .
